Welcome back, new Year 6 students and parents! I hope you have had a wonderful summer and are looking forward to starting a new year at school, your final year of primary school in fact! You have lots to look forward to this term, including our fantastic topic of WWI and a new Geography topic this year called 'Marvellous Maps'. For a more detailed overview of what you will be learning in each subject this term, please look at the Autumn 1 Medium Term Plan below.

Here are few important things for you to know this term:

  •                 School starts at 8:35am when the first bell goes
  •                 PE is on Mondays and Wednesdays
  •                 Homework will be given out on a Wednesday and needs to be returned                 the following Monday.

Year 6 homework normally includes a piece of Maths, Reading comprehension and SPaG. Sometimes there may also be extra homework for Science and later this term there will be a project linked to our topic of WWI.

If you ever have any questions please pop in and see me or send me an email.

From,

Mrs Newton
