Year 2

Welcome to Year 2 with Miss Howells & Mrs Dickson

You can keep up with everything Year 2 have been learning by visiting our class blog at :

Autumn term - The Great Fire of London:

The children have had a great start to the new school year and have settled into Year 2 well.  They proudly took centre stage as they led the school's New Beginnings Service at church, and thoroughly enjoyed learning all about Roald Dahl and Fantastic Mr Fox in the build up to Dahlicious Dress Up Day.  All of this in the first few weeks of term!

Learning about our topic - The Great Fire of London -  is also underway as the children have been exploring 'Toby and the Great Fire of London' in Literacy lessons, and comparing London past and present during their Topic sessions.  We're looking forward to making our own Tudor Houses, baking bread, visiting the Museum of London and finding out more about this historic event as we explore our topic further throughout the term.
