World Book Day  - March

In 2017 TO MARK 20TH ANNIVERSARY OF WORLD’S BIGGEST CELEBRATION OF READING, WORLD BOOK DAY UK  SET TO GIVE AWAY 1 MILLION BOOKS.

Over the past 19 years, "World Book Day"  have delivered 13 million £1 books into the hands of young people across the country. In 2016, the number of £1 books given away was 789,738. The charity’s aim for its 20thanniversary is to increase this number to one million.

St Mary's supports this annual event with children dressing up as their favourite characters.  Below are some of the ways we celebrate the day at school to keep children being inspired to read.
