Pupil Premium is additional funding that the school receives for any child who qualifies for free school meals, this is not the same as universal free school meals that all KS1 children currently receive.
Since the introduction of the universal free school meals (for all KS1 pupils) the number of children applying for the Pupil Premium has dropped significantly.
The additional funding can be spent by the school to provide additional support for the children in a variety of different areas.
So, if you think that your child might qualify for the Pupil Premium please contact the office or visit www.gov.uk/guidance/pupil-premium-information-for-schools-and-alternative-provision-settings for more information.
Please find detailed reports below in respect of the Pupil Premium received in 2014-15 and the impact this had on St Mary's, together with case studies.
The Pupil Premium report for 2016-17 is also attached for your information.
