French
French is taught throughout the school - one lesson per week for each class. Through games, songs, listening and speaking activities, the children discover and develop a new communication skill. Starting with single words in Early Years and progressing to simple sentences and dialogues as they become older, the children are encouraged to speak confidently in French, to develop an enthusiasm for language learning and a willingness to “have a go”.
One of the highlights of the school year is the day Madame Al-tarafi arranges a French Breakfast – everyone is early for school that day! Here are some pictures from the 2007 event.
