Next week’s value is Humility

“Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love” Ephesians 4:2

Dear Parents/Carers

Welcome back! I hope you all had a wonderful Easter break. Children have settled quickly into school routines and we look forward to an exciting summer term ahead.

Just a very short bulletin this week, mainly to keep you informed of forthcoming dates, but I couldn’t let the opportunity pass without alluding, at least briefly, to the good work of the PTA and the ‘Men of St Mary’s’ who worked in the school gardens, over the holiday, to bring about an amazing transformation. Under the expert guidance of local gardener and current parent, Mrs Terry, the ‘Men of St Mary’s’ cleared three huge planter beds, creating an open shingle topped area to enable children to use the space as part of their outdoor learning.

A huge thank you to the PTA and to the ‘Men of St Mary’s and their helpers for their community spirit and a special mention too, for Mrs Buckley, who primed the workers with drinks and bacon butties to maintain their strength throughout the task. More about this in next week’s bulletin. In the meantime, if you would like to know more about the ‘Men of St Mary’s group, please contact Mr Quickfall on james.quickfall@hotmail.co.uk.

Have A great weekend.

Janis Radcliffe
